Het licht van een gave cirkel heeft de mens steeds geboeid. Voorbeelden als de wederkerende volle maan en de hieraan toegeschreven natuurverschijnselen (hogere bevallingspercentage, vruchtbaarheid, transformatie van mens in dier, e.d. …), de archetypische vorm van een UFO, de vorm van een gong, de zon, e.a. zijn sprekend. Ondanks de volledige cirkel (full moon), laat de vorm toe om zich in allerlei standen te zetten: horizontaal, diagonaal, schuin, verticaal (fool moon). De grote afmeting heeft door zijn doorgedreven abstractie een groot herkenbaarheidsgehalte en symbolische waarde en heeft de mogelijkheid plekken af te bakenen of te creëren.

(°1959) The designs of Bart Lens excel in their simplicity and elicit both a tangible and visual impact. Bart Lens is the founder of Lens°Ass studio, and works on projects from architecture and interior design to product and concept development. He designed for companies such as Moome, Jongform, Eden Design but was also asked to guide BKRK into another era. He took on the job as curator of the site with the main goal of bringing back the artisan craftmanship of long ago.
